Much like Bucky without a parachute, let’s dive right in.
- Following up a great first episode that didn’t feature our title characters sharing the screen whatsoever, Episode 2 slams them together and doesn’t let up. It’s great banter but greater at showing just how strained their friendship is without Steve Rogers around.
- Something this show has already featured that got lost in the more recent MCU films is that Bucky’s a superhuman much like Steve Rogers. Winter Soldier mostly got reduced to “guy with metal arm, shoots guns”, but he’s way more than that. Dropping out of a plane 200 feet in the air and surviving highlights that.
- I don’t know how Marvel/Disney+ is pulling it off, but the action scenes from this show so far have looked right at home in the MCU. The fight on top of the tractor trailers was top notch.
- Wyatt Russell makes me think that hm, I guess you don’t have to have a perfect face to be an actor.
- A line that stuck out to me was new-Cap saying “Look, I’ve done the work” as if being Captain America is just another rank you achieve in the military.
